Estancia Maria Behety covers around 800 square kilometres (approximately 275,000 acres) of cattle and sheep grazing land. the Estancia and all of these pampas border the northern bank of the Rio Grande opposite Estancia Jose Menendez and Estancia Despedida. The three fishing lodges on the opposite bank alternate daily use of the water in an organised and friendly manner.
Estancia Maria Behety Lodge is located 15 kilometers from La Villa Estancia Maria Behety (the original homestead), situated on a plateau where you can overlook the heart of Rio Grande.
Built to function exclusively as a fishing lodge, the lodge is the place chosen anglers who appreciate a permanent view of the Rio Grande. It is a lodge that has a very high repeat custom rate, which highlights the fishing and service it provides.Â
This lodge has eight bedrooms in suites, a spacious dining room and a great living room with fire place and a bar. The menu and wine list, as in the sister lodge; La Villa, are diverse, and there is a garden house with a big grill where a special meal is cooked for all the guests every week.
