Xcalak on the Fly is Yucatan Peninsula’s newest fly fishing lodge, based out of Casa Paraiso. At Xcalak on the Fly (XOTF), the goal is to provide you with the most personalised and all-inclusive fly fishing experience.

Xcalak is a refreshingly undisturbed fishing village nestled along Mexico’s southernmost Caribbean coastline. In Xcalak, lush Mayan jungle meets turquoise Caribbean water. Xcalak is a refreshingly undisturbed fishing village located on the southernmost tip of the Yucatan Peninsula along the Caribbean coast of Mexico. In Xcalak, lush Mayan jungle meets turquoise Caribbean water.

The lodge is an off-grid, eco-friendly lodge that offers six beachfront suites and can comfortably accommodate up to twelve anglers at double occupancy. All six suites are oceanfront and feature patios with unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea. Suites can be set up with one king size bed or two twins. There are private bathrooms in each suite and high-speed internet. Each suite now has air conditioning alongside a fan to help keep you cool during your stay! As well as a locking safe for your personal belongings.

The lodge boasts 180ft of maintained beachfront, perfect for relaxing, tanning, or even taking a siesta! Ever heard of a hermit crab race? With beach chairs, grass-topped cabanas, and a brand new dining area with a full bar, we’re confident you’ll find a comfortable place to enjoy your morning coffee or share stories after exciting days on the water. Wash and store your gear with ease at the rod-washing station on your way to happy hour. Catch a sunset (or a permit!) from our 200ft long dock. It’s a great place to practice casting or just hang-out with easy access to snorkeling and kayaking. Most importantly, it’s where you’ll meet your fishing guides each morning. 

The costs of a 7 night stay with 6 full days fishing is US$3,995 based on a shared room and guide. Single room and guide is US$5,995. All meals included, alcohol, fishing licence, National Park fees, as are scheduled transfers.
