Suindá Lodge Argentina – Golden Dorado Fishing Prices, Availability & Travel Guide

Experience One of Argentina’s Most Diverse Golden Dorado Fisheries

Fish the clear waters of the Upper Paraná River for golden dorado, pacú and pira pitá. Combining low fishing pressure, varied structure, expert guides and comfortable riverside accommodation, Suindá Lodge offers one of the most exciting freshwater fishing destinations in South America.

Suindá Lodge, Argentina

Located on a pristine section of the Upper Paraná River near Itatí in Corrientes Province, Suindá Lodge delivers a premium fishing experience focused on golden dorado while also offering exciting opportunities for pacú and pira pitá. Unlike many dorado destinations, Suindá combines clear water conditions, varied river structure and limited angling pressure to create a fishery that rewards both experienced fly fishermen and conventional tackle anglers.

With only a small number of rods hosted each week, guests enjoy access to extensive stretches of productive water, professional guiding and a highly personalised experience. The combination of exceptional fishing, comfortable accommodation, outstanding food and genuine Argentine hospitality has established Suindá Lodge as one of the country’s premier freshwater fishing destinations.

The Fishery

The Upper Paraná River offers a remarkably varied fishing environment. Clear flows, sandbars, rocky structure, channels and shoreline features provide ideal habitat for multiple target species and allow guides to adapt daily strategies based on water conditions and fish behaviour.

Golden dorado are the primary target and are renowned for their explosive strikes, aggressive feeding habits and spectacular aerial displays. In addition to dorado, anglers can pursue pacú and pira pitá, creating genuine opportunities for a South American freshwater grand slam.

The clear water conditions make the fishery particularly attractive to fly anglers, with opportunities for sight fishing as well as covering productive water from the boat. This variety ensures that every day presents new challenges and opportunities.

Fly Fishing & Conventional Tackle

Suindá Lodge caters equally well to fly fishermen and lure anglers. Fly anglers can target dorado along structure, current seams and shallow water features using a range of streamer patterns, while conventional anglers can enjoy exceptional action using artificial lures.

Experienced local guides operate skiffs that allow anglers to explore a large amount of productive water each day. Their local knowledge ensures guests maximise opportunities regardless of changing conditions.

Accommodation & Lodge Facilities

Suindá Lodge accommodates a maximum of ten anglers across six comfortable rooms, creating an intimate atmosphere and personalised level of service. The riverside setting provides a relaxing base from which to explore one of Argentina’s finest freshwater fisheries.

Guests enjoy excellent cuisine, carefully selected wines, beer and a range of local and international spirits, all included as part of their stay. The lodge has been designed specifically for travelling anglers, combining comfort, convenience and authentic hospitality.
